BPSC AEDO Recruitment 2025 – Detailed Exam Pattern & Syllabus

Exam Overview: BPSC Assistant Education Development Officer (AEDO) selection will be based on a Written Examination followed by Document Verification. The exam consists of three objective-type papers. Candidates must note that Paper 1 (Language) is qualifying in nature, and negative marking of **1/3 mark** is applicable for every wrong answer.

Written Examination Scheme

Key Exam Rules:

• Negative Marking: 1/3 (0.33) marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer.
• Qualifying Criteria: You must score at least 30% separately in General English and General Hindi. Evaluation of Paper 2 & 3 depends on qualifying Paper 1.
• Merit List: Based on total marks in the written exam. In case of a tie, marks in General Studies (Paper 2) will be the tie-breaker.

1. General Studies (GS)

General Science, Current events (National & International), History of India and Bihar, General Geography, Rivers of Bihar, Indian Polity, Economy of India and Post-Independence Bihar, and Indian National Movement (Bihar’s Role).

2. General Aptitude

Number System, Decimals & Fractions, Percentages, Ratio & Proportion, Average, Interest, Profit & Loss, Analogies, Similarities, Problem Solving, Analysis, Visual Memory, Relationship Concepts, Arithmetical Reasoning, Number Series, and Coding-Decoding.
