About NCET 2026

The National Common Entrance Test (NCET) is a national-level entrance examination conducted by the National Testing Agency for admission into the Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP). Through NCET, candidates can secure admission in various Central Universities, State Universities, IITs, NITs, RIEs and Government Colleges offering teacher education programs.

The four-year ITEP course has been designed to prepare highly qualified teachers for the future education system. The program integrates subject knowledge, pedagogy and practical teaching experience into a single degree structure.
