- Master Degree in Hindi with English as a subject OR Master Degree in English with Hindi as a subject.
- OR Master Degree in any subject with Hindi medium and English as compulsory subject at degree level.
- Diploma or Certificate in Translation from Hindi to English or vice versa.
- Experience required for Senior Translator posts (usually 3 years).
- Paper I (CBT): Objective exam covering General Hindi and English.
- Paper II (Descriptive): Translation and essay writing test.
- Document Verification: Final stage after qualifying both papers.
