| Short Information: The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has reached the concluding stages of the Rural Regional Bank (RRB) XIV (14th) recruitment process for the 2025-26 cycle. Today, IBPS has officially released the Mains Examination Result for the post of Office Assistant (Multipurpose). This recruitment drive, covering 12,916 vacancies across various Gramin Banks in India, has seen a multi-phased selection process including Preliminary and Mains exams for Clerical posts, and an additional Interview stage for Officer Scales. Candidates who appeared for the Office Assistant Mains exam can now check their qualifying status for the provisional allotment. Simultaneously, final results for Officer Scale I, II, and III have also been processed, marking the completion of one of the largest banking recruitment exercises of the year. |

Eligibility & Post-Wise Vacancy Details

1. Office Assistant (Multipurpose): 7972 Posts. Eligibility: Bachelor’s Degree in any stream. Proficiency in the local language of the participating RRB is mandatory.
2. Officer Scale I (AM): 3606 Posts. Eligibility: Bachelor’s Degree. Preference given to candidates with degrees in Agriculture, Horticulture, etc. 3. Specialist Officers (Scale II): Vacancies in IT, Law, CA, and Treasury. Requires professional degrees (B.E/B.Tech/LLB/CA) and 1-2 years of relevant experience. 4. Officer Scale III (Senior Manager): 199 Posts. Eligibility: Graduate with 50% marks and minimum 5 years of experience in banking or financial institutions. |
Examination Pattern & Selection Process
IBPS RRB Mains/Single Exam Pattern
- Structure: The Mains exam (Office Asst/Scale I) and Single exam (Scale II/III) consist of 200 objective-type questions.
- Subjects: Reasoning, Numerical Ability/Quantitative Aptitude, General Awareness, Computer Knowledge, and English/Hindi Language.
- Total Marks: 200 Marks.
- Duration: 2 Hours (Composite time).
- Negative Marking: 1/4th (0.25) marks deduction for every wrong answer.
- Office Assistant: Final merit is based strictly on the Mains Examination score. No interview is conducted for this post.
- Officer Scale I, II & III: Merit is calculated using a combined weightage of 80:20 (Written Exam : Interview).
Salary & Benefits
RRB employees receive salaries equivalent to nationalized commercial banks with additional rural benefits.
1. Office Assistant: Gross salary approx. #35,000 – #40,000 per month.
2. Officer Scale I: Gross salary approx. #58,000 – #65,000 per month.
3. Perquisites: Includes Newspaper allowance, Medical aid, Leave Travel Concession (LTC), and Conveyance allowance. Housing facilities or HRA are provided based on the place of posting.
